Luxury Accommodations Overlooking San Francisco

Historic

Historic Lodging in Fort Baker California near the Golden Gate Bridge

The 13 Bayside buildings were originally the Fort Baker Officers Residences. The beautifully restored, turn-of-the-century Colonial Revival buildings offer both guest rooms and suites, just four to 12 in each building. Thanks to mindful reuse of the structures and materials, the Bayside buildings were re-adapted with minimal impact on the land and original footprint, preserving their history and sense of place.

Bayside suites offer separate living rooms; many accommodations have gas fireplaces. All feature original artwork and photography, walnut wood furnishings, warm earth-tone colors, organic bedding and ceiling fans to create a timeless, residential ambience. All 68 historic guest rooms retain their connection to the past, many with crown molding, punched-tin ceilings, original hardwood floors, bedroom fireplaces and other elegant touches. Many Bayside accommodations have views of San Francisco and the Bay. Some of the best vistas can be enjoyed outdoors on the shared front porches with rocking chairs.

The Bayside buildings' configuration and room-type variation are well suited to small groups or reunions. Some can be reserved in entirety to provide a private environment for families, friends or retreats. Guest rooms sleep two persons in a King or Queen bed. Suites with a separate living room and Queen sleeper sofa can accommodate two additional persons. The historic lodgings welcome children year-round. Some Bayside lodging on the first floor accommodates friendly dogs. Please call Reservations.

Contemporary

Contemporary Lodging with expansive views

The newly-constructed contemporary accommodations are located on the coastal hillside of the property. Sited above the main public areas and parade ground, these accommodations enjoy a modern design and expansive views. Comfortable lodgings with high wood ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows showcase panoramic vistas of the San Francisco Bay and Golden Gate Bridge. Housed in small two-story buildings, all 74 contemporary guest rooms and suites feature private entrances, gas fireplaces, radiant heated floors, bamboo wood furnishings, ceiling fans and individual patios or decks. Many have separate sitting areas as well.

All Golden Gate accommodations offer one King bed, a fireplace and daybed for reading or relaxing. More secluded, these accommodations are ideal for romantic getaways. Many Golden Gate Suites, Golden Gate Junior Suites and Golden Gate King rooms feature the breathtaking view of the bridge -- to be enjoyed further on private patios or decks with welcoming outdoor furniture.

All Sausalito rooms feature a gas fireplace. Sausalito King rooms offer one King bed and a private deck. More like a typical hotel room, Sausalito King lodging works well for guests for whom seclusion is not paramount. Sausalito Queen rooms are distinguished by two Queen beds, which can sleep four persons, and a sitting area. Sausalito Queen accommodations are well-suited for families with younger children or friends traveling together. Many Sausalito rooms also offer exceptional views of San Francisco, the Bay and/or the Golden Gate Bridge.
