Institute at the Golden Gate
The Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy has partnered with the National Park Service to create The Institute at the Golden Gate. Debuting in fall 2008, the Institute promotes dialogue, collaboration, shared problem solving and action for a sustainable world. Gathering global leaders in the nonprofit, government and business sectors, the Institute connects scientists, policy makers, youth leaders, and nonprofit and business managers to develop solutions to critical issues. Programs focus on sustainability, national parks and protected areas, environmental arts and communication, resource conservation and other topics to improve the health and quality of our environment.
Through a special arrangement with the National Park Service, groups may be eligible for the reduced "Institute rate" for accommodations at Cavallo Point, where they can hold their own events. Groups are invited to host meetings conferences that focus on the care and stewardship of our planet. The Institute also serves the Bay Area by connecting local residents to environmental topics affecting their neighborhoods and the world. Illuminating lectures are offered for the community.
Passport Resorts works in conjunction with the nonprofit Parks Conservancy to support the Institute's programs on the environment.
