Introduction to Making Changes that Last – Linda Fogg-Phillips
9-11 am

This hands-on learning experience changes how you view the landscape of human behavior, giving you unusual clarity in designing effective and lasting behavior change. You learn new tools and techniques developed by BJ Fogg that you can apply immediately to change behaviors in every aspect of your personal and professional life. You find out how three elements must converge to cause behavior: motivation, ability and triggers. Together we map out target behaviors and evaluate them in what Linda calls "priority mapping." You also learn a process for designing and testing solutions step by step. You leave this workshop knowing how to design for effective and lasting behavior change.

11-11:15 am

Tapping into Your Practical Genius – Gina Rudan
11:15-12:30 pm

Based on her book Practical Genius, Gina breaks "practical genius" down, providing an accessible, actionable, inspirational playbook for unleashing your own hidden potential:

  • Identify Your Genius. Visualize and realize who you truly are. Know your values and your passions. Put your creativity and authenticity front and center. Find the place where these "hard assets" and "soft assets" intersect.

  • Express Your Genius. Be fully visible. Listen, explore. Identify the vocabulary for your genius; learn to dictate your narrative and refine your message.

  • Surround Yourself with Genius. Raise your expectations and elevate your standards. Build a network with others who are living purposeful, inspired lives. Engage with a community that's a positive reflection of your values and purpose.

  • Sustain Your Genius. Rededicate yourself every day to mastering your practical genius. Cultivate focus. Commit to a practice. Make the right choices for your body and mind, keeping your professional and personal lives deeply connected.

12:30-1:45 pm

Qi Gong: Creating a Daily Practice – Mingtong Gu

In this workshop, participants learn eight valuable movements to improve health and well-being, which are easy to learn and to continue practicing at home.

Sustaining Behavioral Change – Hands-On Class & Dinner at Cavallo Point Cooking School
5:30-9 pm

This experiential class is based on the philosophy, shared by Dr. Brad and the Cooking School's Chef Jayne Reichert, that cooking delicious and nutritious food is easily within reach. The key ingredients:

  • Learn to ask intelligent food questions: Are these greens organic? Where did the arugula come from? How was this fish fed? How are these walnuts stored? Are these ingredients in season?

  • Skillfully create meals with "easy access foods" and a "powerful pantry list:" Think the daily catch from a reputable fish monger, pan seared on a bed of wild arugula salad with walnut pesto. Yum!

After this class, you'll be empowered to cultivate your plan for sustainable change by making healthy food more accessible to you and your loved ones.
