In this workshop, you learn how each of these pillars influences metabolism, food choices, endurance and healthy weight. After completing Dr. Brad's 6 Pillars of Healthy Living Assessment, you will work in small groups to formulate a personalized road map to bring your life into balance and shed those extra pounds. How Behavior Works to Lose Weight Naturally with Linda Fogg-Phillips

This hands-on learning experience changes how you view the landscape of human behavior, giving you unusual clarity in designing effective and lasting behavior change. You learn new tools and techniques developed by BJ Fogg that you can apply immediately to change behaviors that will support your weight loss goals. You find out how three elements must converge to empower you to change your behavior: motivation, ability and triggers. Together we map out target behaviors and evaluate them in what Linda calls "priority mapping." You also learn a process for designing and testing solutions step-by-step. You leave this workshop knowing how to design for effective and lasting behavior change.

Yoga for Weight Loss with Erin Fleming

In this yoga class, Erin Fleming guides you on a journey that harmoniously blends breath with physical poses. Thoughtfully choreographed to tone and stretch the body, the class devotes time for relaxation and rest. Yin Yoga, which involves holding passive poses for 3-5 minutes each, is blended into the class to target the tighter connective tissues in the hips, hamstrings and lower spine. You leave this class feeling deeply connected to your body and energized to sustain your weight loss goals. Mats and props are provided.

Come experience the nuts and bolts of Dr. Brad's natural weight-loss nutrition plan in the Cavallo Point Cooking School. At this retreat, you learn the value of eating more frequently to lose weight. Then let Chef Jayne show you how to turn those smaller meals and snacks into decadent treats and tantalizing mini-feasts. At dinner time, you have the opportunity to practice "mindful eating" – a conscious awareness of food as you eat, how your body responds to food, and how a meal brings you greater satiation when you are present to enjoy it.

Cavallo Point's Resident Doctor of Integrative Health

Bradly Jacobs MD, MPH, ABIHM offers complete solutions for healthy, vibrant living by integrating modern medicine with established wisdom and traditional East-West practices. Dr. Brad leads public and corporate retreats and workshops and maintains a private medical practice with 2 offices located at Cavallo Point Lodge and in downtown San Francisco, California. He graduated from Stanford University School of Medicine, holds a Master's Degree of Public Health from UC Berkeley, and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Integrative and Holistic Medicine. As the former Founding Medical Director and Endowed Chair of the UCSF Osher Center for Integrative Medicine, Dr. Brad combines acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutrition, yoga and martial arts with his conventional training. A national leader in integrative medicine, and health & wellness, he has held workshops for Oprah University, the Gap, Google, as well as Stanford and Harvard Business Schools. He is also senior author of "The American College of Physicians (ACP) Evidence-Based Guide to Complementary and Alternative Medicine." Dr. Brad is Chair of the Medical Advisory Board for Pharmaca Inc.


Linda Fogg-Phillips is the mother of eight children, ranging in ages from 14-28! Her work focuses on health behavior design in the context of the household. Linda's family is known as the Mobile Health Family and is frequently featured at health and technology conferences. She is an author, public speaker, personal trainer and wellness coach. Linda co-teaches the masterclass "How Behavior Works" with BJ Fogg, director of Stanford's Persuasive Tech Lab.


Mira Kanter is a Registered Dietitian and Marin County native, with a passion for mind body wellness. She is driven to help others discover their individual path to optimal health. Mira places importance on self-awareness and mindfulness as empowerment tools to modify eating behaviors. Mira was educated at the University of California, Davis where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition, and at Emory University, where she obtained her Registered Dietitian credential. Mira's experience in the field of nutrition spans over 25 years. She has practiced in the fitness industry, clinical dietetics, corporate wellness, and integrative medicine, at Bay Club Marin, UCLA Medical Center, The Chopra Center for Wellbeing, ConnectWell, and with Dr. Brad Jacobs. Mira believes in striving daily to create a balanced lifestyle and harmony within. She compassionately guides clients in decreasing stress, and enhancing their pleasure, around eating. The ultimate goal, she feels, is to nourish one's mind, body, and soul.


Krishna Farnsworth is the founder of Kinetic Health & Performance Group, a multi disciplinary wellness and fitness facility located in Corte Madera, CA. He received his BA from Sonoma State University and is a Level 2 Practitioner at the prestigious Chek Institute. With over two decades of experience in the wellness and fitness industry, Krishna frequently consults and lectures on topics ranging from weight loss, stress reduction, injury prevention and athletic performance. Krishna's many professional certifications include a Level 1 coach of USTAF (track and field) as well as a Level 1 coach of USAWL (weight lifting). He is a lifelong resident of Marin County and enjoys the unique beauty of its environment as well the active lifestyle it allows. Krishna is an avid mountain biker, trail runner and golfer. He currently resides in San Rafael with his wife Anya, daughter Giselle and son Taylor.


Mark Berman, MD is a Yale- and Harvard-trained doctor raised in South Africa and Canada who now lives and works in San Francisco. Mark is a vegan doctor who cares about the well-being of all life, be it human, animal or the ecosystems upon which we depend. He designs lifestyle medicine programs at One Medical Group in San Francisco. Previously, he was the special assistant on childhood obesity to the President of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and an obesity consultant for Harvard Health Publications.
