About the Program

This five-night, four-day hiking experience showcases the stunning natural beauty of the Golden Gate National Parks. From the Marin Headlands to Muir Woods to the peak of Mt. Tamalpais, miles of scenic trails await you. This unique terrain provides some of the most awe-inspiring views and vistas in the world. Your hiking guides will delight you with their knowledge of the area, their wilderness competence and their entertaining story telling. The hikes are designed for all fitness levels.

At-a-Glance

  • The average program size is approximately 16 guests.
  • The program fee is $1225 and includes all guided hikes, yoga classes, transportation, meals (including five breakfasts, four lunches and four dinners), signature water bottle and fanny pack, and the hotel parking fee.

Check in to Cavallo Point at your leisure * Introductory meeting and welcome dinner with your hiking guides prepared by Murray Circle Executive Chef, Joseph Humphrey

Daily menu of events

Begin each day with an invigorating yoga class and a healthy buffet breakfast * Depending on conditions, hikers head out to Mt. Tamalpais, Muir Woods and the Marin Headlands, some of the most scenic locations in Northern California * Each guest is outfitted with snacks, a small pack and water bottles; guides come prepared with all provisions and safety gear * Guests are free to choose either a moderately challenging 2- to 4-mile hike or a strenuous 7- to 10-mile each day * Each trail is marked with red locator arrows so guests are welcome to hike at different paces * With a redwood forest or Pacific Ocean as your backdrop, enjoy a gourmet boxed lunch picnic on the trails each day * Afternoons are free to schedule a sports massage at the Healing Arts Center & Spa or simply enjoy the Cavallo Point grounds * Wind down with a pre-dinner restorative yoga class * Feast on a private dinner replete with fresh, farm-grown ingredients * Most nights include special presentations or entertainment.

Bio

Kristin Coates, Cavallo Point's Program Director has literally hiked and biked hundreds of miles throughout the Golden Gate National Parks, and hundreds more throughout the world. As a Marin County resident for over a decade and a background as a naturalist and environmentalist, Kristin has a rich knowledge of the many trails, flora and fauna, and history of the area. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge and love for one of the most beautiful areas on earth. Kristin and each of the other experienced hiking guides are devoted to creating an unforgettable, safe, and fun experience!
