Food as Medicine: A Seasonal Ayurvedic Approach to Eating

During this time of seasonal transition, it’s important to know how to properly support and maintain your digestion for optimal health and wellbeing. After graduating from Columbia University with a degree in philosophy, Anya El-Wattar obtained her certification in Ayurvedic nutrition from Ayurveda’s Beauty Care school in New York. Then she completed a two-year program with Ayurvedic physician and author Dr. Vasant Lad at his Ayurvedic Institute in New Mexico. She subsequently graduated from the Natural Gourmet Institute, the only full-time vegan culinary school in the U.S. Anya has spent the last 20 years exploring various healing practices from around the globe, which she combines with the practical realities of being a teacher and a mother of 4 children.
"Tuesdays to your Health" is a monthly lecture series hosted by Dr. Brad Jacobs at the Cavallo Point Healing Arts Center & Spa; select Tuesdays of the month from 6:30–7:30 pm. Topics vary, lectures are complimentary and all are welcome to attend. Tea will also be served.
