Colleen Mauer Designs Trunk Show

SATURDAY 9/18, 12 noon – 4 pm
Industrial designer turned jewelry entrepreneur, Colleen uses gold and silver wire to create textured, mixed-metal designs. Her organic shapes are hand-crafted into simple, layered, versatile combinations. Voted Best Local Designer in 2010 & 2009 by SF Bay Guardian. Complimentary refreshments & parking.

ART GALLERY

Thoughtful works by talented artists

The Art Gallery, next to the Mercantile, showcases thoughtful works by talented artists. Seasonally changing exhibits offer fresh perspectives. Beautiful, custom-bound books with works from select artists are available at the Mercantile. Revisit beauty through the fine art collection at Cavallo Point, which includes Imogen Cunningham, Gregory Colbert, Phil Borges and others.

From Kehoe to Cavallo:
THE MYSTERY IN THE MESS

This exhibit artistically showcases the adage that "one person's junk is another person's treasure." This suite of archival pigment prints by Judith Selby Lang and Richard Lang, presented July 7 – October 26, are available for purchase. The Langs have been collecting and creating with plastic debris from Kehoe Beach since 1999. In 2008 they were commissioned to create a series of prints for Cavallo Point guest rooms as part of the contemporary photography program on view throughout the property.

The artwork on view is available for purchase. A percentage of the artwork's sale benefits Plastic Pollution Coalition.

DRIFTWORKS

November 1, 2010 – December 31, 2010
The Cavallo Point Art Gallery presents Driftworks, an exhibition of large-scale "compound photographs" by Charles LaBelle, a featured artist in Cavallo Point's photography program. Each compound photograph incorporates literally thousands of images the artist has shot while visiting cities around the world, including Stockholm, Venice, Prague and Miami.
