Gather, Learn & Indulge the Senses
Our San Francisco cooking school offers several different formats for classes, and is able to accommodate groups both large and small. These private culinary events focus on classic techniques, seasonality, and sustainability — inspiring people to create, share, and eat! Here are just a few examples:
Choose from seasonal menus based on the finest quality, locally sourced ingredients. Or work with Chef Tim to create a custom menu around your group’s preferences. Prior to class, enjoy seasonal nibbles and bites, then cook together as a group with the guidance of our highly skilled cooking school team. All hands-on classes are 3 hours and conclude with a family-style meal the class has prepared.
Perfect for larger groups, this interactive event consists of up to four different stations with a hands-on component for the guests who want a more hands-on experience. Typical stations may include Sushi Hand Rolls, Oyster shuck and eat, Tacos with freshly made tortillas, Spring or Summer Rolls, Build your own Ice Cream Sundae Bar or Cannoli Station.
Designed especially for groups who want to experience a hybrid hands-on class in the Cooking School. This unique event format combines a hands-on class focusing on two seasonal dishes that can be replicated with ease at home, followed by a family-style meal for your guests prepared with seasonal and local ingredients by the Cooking School team. A perfect option for those who have spent the morning in meetings and want to engage in an invigorating more interactive meal together.
Watch as the chef instructor demonstrates how to put together a three-course meal step-by-step that you can sit down and enjoy at our cooking school in Sausalito and then recreate later at home. Available for up to 30 guests, demo classes are based on the local ingredients available at the farmers’ markets and can be customized upon request.
The storied tradition of afternoon tea is said to have begun in 1840 in England when the seventh Duchess of Bedford found herself peckish around 4pm. Dinner was served fashionably late at 8pm, so she began to order tea with bread, butter and cake to her room. Soon enough, she began to invite her friends to enjoy it with her. Please join us for a beautifully curated experience as a delightful afternoon treat between meetings or a memorable addition to a getaway with friends or wedding party.
