Join us at the Healing Arts Center & Spa, as Cavallo Point’s resident Shaman, Molly Maguire and Marin Yoga Teacher and Scholar, Mary Machado present their inaugural Sacred Circle Book Club, exploring inspirational, intriguing, spiritual, and perhaps even life-changing books.
This month we will explore the mystical writings of the Sufi poet Rumi. We will compare and contrast the magical timelessness and interpretations of some of our favorites and yours. Rumi’s poems are passionate, spiritual and intense, frequently exploring topics such as human desire and the nature of love.
Any compilation of Rumi poems can be used for this discussion. We will be using The Essential Rumi, translated by Coleman Barks. We encourage you to read or listen to some of the poetry before we meet, but all are welcome to join us for inspirational conversation.
Light refreshments and tea will be offered for your enjoyment.
